Her teenage children (Darren Bell and Katja Roberts) are out of control. Her estranged husband (Brian Hogg) has taken up residence in the allotments. At a dance, the night before the Durham Miners’ Gala, May meets Roy Cotton (Bill Speed) the recently arrived manager of an open cast mine.

Riam's father, Joi and some other men go to confront Kwan and find him on the spirit-house island with Riam.

The Scar draws an intense psychological suspense through one man’s confrontation with his past.

The drama questions what would happen in private and professional terms to a man who would start telling his friends and work colleagues everything he really thinks.

A ruthless story of a loner.

Even in 1970, films were made, prepared in previous years and expressing the poetics of that time. Ivan Renč created an almost protocol parable, deliberately set outside time and space, playing out a supremely model situation. In a somewhat rambling and not always convincing story, it tells the story of a young prison guard who dreams of living on a lonely lighthouse. He is ridiculous in his own way, with a distorted character, he hardly finds any satisfaction in his job, he cannot command the slightest respect from the prisoners - and the hero then takes out his excess pressure by abusing a defenseless dog. And one day there will be a short circuit meeting.

Young soldiers in the Soviet Internal Troops are subjected to systematic abuse during their dedovshchina (hazing). The plot unfolds primarily aboard a prisoner transport rail car guarded by a unit of paramilitary conscripts.
